Defending state champion American Heritage defeated Archbishop McCarthy 25-20 in a thrilling Class 4A Regional Final victory on Friday night. The photo gallery captures the comeback, which saw sophomore T.J. Mullen step up with 145 rushing yards and the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Mavericks, playing in their first regional final since 2010, saw their five-game win streak snapped due to turnovers and the Patriots’ strong second-half defense.
