In his plan to betray Ukraine as part of his quest for a two-fer of a Nobel Peace Prize and placating his puppet master Putin, President Donald Trump, in an all-caps post, accused Ukraine of “EXPRESSING ZERO GRATITUDE FOR OUR EFFORTS.”
That’s the height of hypocrisy, coming from a man who is all about vengeance, retribution and greed. It lacks any sense of the enormous luck for which he should be grateful: evading multiple serious indictments for trying to steal an election and absconding with truckloads of classified documents, ducking sexual assault accusations from multiple women — and still being elected president twice.
But instead of being grateful for occupying the White House and not a prison cell, Trump continues his ways.
A leader with a moral compass would be grateful to Ukraine for its courage and perseverance in its battle for liberty, freedom and democracy against a bloodthirsty egomaniac. In fighting for its own sovereignty, it is fighting for us all.
I thank Ukraine for that, even if Trump won’t.

Don’t reward an aggressor
President Trump’s 28-point Peace Plan is his foolish and obsessive attempt to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Under the Trump plan, Russia wins the war and gets everything it wants. Ukraine is subjugated and humiliated.
Once again, as always, Putin makes a fool of Trump. The Russian leader shows us what a coward our president is (Think TACO: Trump Always Chickens Out).
I cannot imagine the Nobel committee awarding a peace prize to Trump for enabling a large and powerful aggressor nation to succeed in invading and defeating a much smaller victim nation.
This should not, and will not, happen.
Bob Stein, Boynton Beach
A disgrace to America
Donald Trump is selling out Ukraine and rewarding Russian aggression.
Russia is not an American ally. It acts as a terrorist state, intentionally bombing civilians, kidnapping children and torturing detainees. Rewarding its aggressive behavior is bad for world peace and harmony — and it’s a disgrace to America.
Holly Rothkopf, Boynton Beach
Check that ceasefire
How’s that ceasefire between Israel and Hamas working out?
You remember — the one Trump negotiated as he continued to campaign for a Nobel Peace Prize. You remember, the ceasefire that’s working out just like his failed businesses, his presidency and his marriages.

Don’t normalize him

To those who support President Trump, I ask: Is this the kind of person you believe should represent our nation to the world? Does he display the decorum, humanity and decency we expect of a president?
At a press conference with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Trump became irate when ABC correspondent Mary Bruce asked about intelligence linking the prince to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and about the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Trump called ABC “fake news,” a “crappy company” and a “radical left network.” He told Bruce she was a “horrible person” who should “learn how to be a reporter.” Days before, Trump told Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey: “Quiet, quiet, piggy!”
It is time to stop normalizing a president who rhetorically abuses reporters — especially women.
