Foul play is suspected in the death of woman whose body was discovered Friday morning on Hollywood beach, police said.
A passerby found the body about 7 a.m. Friday on the beach near Cleveland Street, Hollywood Police said in a news release.
The body has been identified, and on Saturday, police announced “a person of interest has also been identified, and detectives believe the parties involved are known to one another.”
In an updated statement, the Hollywood Police Department said there is no indication of a broader threat to the community. The department reiterated that authorities were still trying to notify the victim’s next of kin.
