Ann Meggas Vezos OBITUARY
Ann Meggas Vezos, 98, entered the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 16, 2025.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 815 NE 14th Ave, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33304 on Monday, Dec. 22nd, with Visitation beginning at 10:00 am, followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m.
Private graveside internment will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Father Peter Zougras officiating.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 1st, 1927, to Thomas & Katherine Meggas, Ann graduated from Cleveland College with an AA Degree and worked as an Executive Secretary of a local manufacturing firm. In 1951 Ann attended a Greek friend’s wedding and was swept off her feet by a young man, George Vezos. Married a few months later in February 1952, they resided in Buffalo, NY where George was managing the family grocery business. They relocated in 1958 to Fort Lauderdale & with family members & close business associates, George assisted in establishing The Ranch House Restaurants. Ann raised their three daughters and volunteered and supported various Broward County Charities and her Church. She loved “her tennis”, actively sold Real Estate in the ‘90’s. If it was fun, Ann was doing it! They traveled much of U.S. & Europe, and took each grandchild to Greece, of which they were very proud.
She is survived by daughter’s Stacy Vezos, Kathe Pierce (Joe) and Georgia Callum (Bill), 5 grandchildren Eugene, George, Alexandra, Anne & Nicholas, and 5 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, George, Mason, Rhodes and Olivia. Ann is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
