Herbert J. Cohen OBITUARY

Herbert J. Cohen, 93, passed away, at his home in Weston, FL December 14, 2025. He will be celebrated and interred in the family plot, beside his beloved bride Lucille, at the Star of David Memorial Gardens in North Lauderdale, FL on Sunday December 21, 2025 with family visitation at the chapel at 11 am, service at 11:45 and graveside ceremony to follow.

Herb was born in NY on January 1, 1933, to Betty and David Cohen. The Family moved to Miami where he attended school until his graduation from Miami High School. He attended Emory University and graduated from the University of Miami with his JD law degree. While attending the “U”, University of Miami, he met the love of his life, Lucille. They were married in Miami Beach in 1956 and lived in South Florida for 66 years except for the 2 years Herb served in US Army at Fort Myer, VA.

Herb was predeceased by his parents Betty and David, his wife Lucille (2020) and by his brother Stanley and sister Beverly. He is survived by his sons Stephen (Leslie), Jeffrey (Fiona), Kenny (Michele) and grandchildren Kierstin (Andrew), Max (Liv), Ollie (Jason), Victoria and Mikaela.

During his lifetime and before retirement, Herb was a hard-working, trusted lawyer and accountant. He was a devoted patriarch of his family and held them and all of his dear friends close to his heart until the very end. He was a driven, engaged man with a deep caring heart.

Visitation, funeral services and internment will be held at the cemetery.
