Robert N. Stiskin OBITUARY

Robert N. Stiskin, a former Stamford resident, died on Nov 21, 2025 at his home in Florida.

Born in Stamford on Nov. 27, 1951, he grew up in Stamford and was a 1969 graduate of Stamford High School. He then attended, and graduated from, Transylvania University in Lexington, KY, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He remained active in its Alumni, especially enjoying their yearly reunion each spring, receiving its Lifetime Achievement Award this past April. After many years away, he returned to Stamford and worked for his long-time friends, Mark and Janet Smith, as a Manufacturer’s Rep selling baby products. When he tired of winter, he moved to Florida where his apartment had a view of the ocean, his favorite place to be. Preceded in death by his parents, Israel and Sylvia Stiskin, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and John Ames, his nephews and their families, David, Tiffany, Jakob, and Sylvia Ames and Jerry, Abbie, Max, and Ethan Ames, his aunt Shirley Stiskin Weissman, and his many cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on December 7th at the Star of David Funeral Home,7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, Florida.
