Caroline “Sam” Creekmur OBITUARY

Caroline “Sam” Morrow Creekmur, 82, passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2025, in Spring, Texas. She was surrounded by her loving caregivers and family. The family would like to express infinite gratitude to Caroline’s devoted team of caregivers: Sharon, Casha, Julie, Kesha, Bertha, Chastity, and Raven whose presence was truly a blessing.

Born in 1943 in Washington, D.C., Caroline grew up with her two sisters in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She married and began her family, eventually moving to Florida where she met the love of her life, Lou Creekmur, her larger-than-life NFL Hall of Famer, whose side she stayed by as he suffered and succumbed to football-induced CTE in 2009. She moved from their home of 30 years in Plantation, FL to The Woodlands, Texas to be closer to family as her Alzheimer’s Disease progressed.

Caroline had a fulfilling career with Ryder Systems, Inc. in Miami and Puerto Rico; as well as with HornerXpress Worldwide in Ft. Lauderdale. She loved spending time at the local American Legion, having her toes in sand at the beach, riding Harleys with wind in her hair, listening to good music, and watching football with many good friends at local pubs. She also loved helping others and making them laugh; being remembered by many at her home at The Landing at Augusta Pines as being soft spoken, but when she spoke, she was funny.

Caroline was preceded in death by her loving husband Lou Creekmur, mother, Eleanor Morrow Larson, father, Montgomery Morrow, stepfather Vernon H. Larson, and sisters Eleanor Morrow Geohegan and her beloved twin sister Cornelia Morrow Cheston.

Caroline is survived by her daughters Lee Conroy (Bruce Conroy) of Spring, TX, and Lynn Eichhorn (Dave Murray) of Chinle, AZ; grandson Brendan Conroy of Houston, TX, grandson Kevin Conroy of Houston, TX, granddaughter Caroline Conroy of Austin, TX, granddaughter Valerie Plucinski (Brandon Plucinski) of Summerville, SC, grandson Max Moran (Rachelle Moran) of Ramstein, Germany, and cherished nieces and cousins.

Arrangements for Caroline’s interment at Arlington National Cemetery alongside her husband Lou will be announced in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Caroline’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter, https://www.alz.org/texas.
