Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday scheduled a special election in Palm Beach County to replace the late Rep. Joe Casello, D-Boynton Beach.
Casello died Friday following a heart attack earlier this month.
DeSantis issued an order scheduling a special primary election in House District 90 on Sept. 30 and special general elections, if needed, on Dec. 9.
The governor also ordered special elections on those dates to replace former Sen. Blaise Ingoglia, R-Spring Hill, who was sworn in Monday as Florida’s chief financial officer. Senate District 11 is made up of Citrus, Hernando, Sumter and part of Pasco counties.
