One of the Marlins’ most anticipated series of the season is set for this weekend, as the New York Yankees’ first of three games is Friday at loanDepot Park in Miami.
The Yankees’ last trip to Miami in August 2023 set the attendance record for the most fans for a three-game series in loanDepot park’s history. In expectation of a similar turnout — what should be the Marlins’ biggest crowds of the season — stadium officials released updated parking policies and transportation recommendations for a seamless gameday experience for fans.
Limited on-site parking will be available, but it is expected to sell out quickly. A prepaid parking pass is required to access parking areas, and it can be purchased at marlins.com/parking for $26. Limited valet parking will be available at the Home Plate Garage on Northwest Seventh Street and also requires a prepaid pass for $46.
For fans looking to avoid the gameday traffic around the stadium, there is also a park-and-ride option available.
For $12 per vehicle, fans can park at the West Lot Garage on Northwest Third Street or the Hickman Garage on Northwest Second Street and take a complimentary shuttle to the stadium. The park-and-ride shuttles will run from 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Fans using rideshare services, like Uber and Lyft, will be dropped off at the designated zones located along Northwest Six Street, but “potential long wait times should be anticipated and expected,” the Marlins said in a news release.
If you’re travelling from outside of Miami, Brightline’s “Home Runner” trains take fans to the MiamiCentral Station, where a complimentary shuttle service offers rides to and from loanDepot park. Tickets for “Home Runner” trains can be purchased at marlins.com/brightline at prices ranging from $27 to $57.
Against the Yankees, the Marlins have the opportunity to continue on as one of the hottest clubs in baseball and claim a sixth-straight series victory, a stretch that dates back to before the All-Star break. Sitting at 52-55 and in third place in the NL East, Miami has won 20 of their past 30 games.
