The Miami Marlins continued stocking up in the MLB draft on Monday by taking Drew Faurot, a shortstop from Florida State University, with the No. 108 pick in the fourth round.

Faurot, a four-year junior at FSU, finished back-to-back standout seasons for the Seminoles.

The Tallahassee native was named to the ACC Championship All-Tournament team and the 73rd-ranked draft prospect by D1Baseball.com after his sophomore season in 2024. Faurot followed that up with upticks in nearly every offensive statistic this past season, batting .307 for 67 hits, 16 homers and 51 RBIs on his way to being named First Team All-ACC.

The selection of Faurot marks the second shortstop the Marlins have picked up in the draft, after using their top pick — No. 7 — on Aiva Arquette, a shortstop out of Oregon State. It also marks the second prospect taken from Florida State by Miami, who selected Seminoles’ outfielder Max Williams with the No. 81 pick in the third round.
